A Scarsdale police officer conducting DWI patrol on Post Road at approximately 7:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, spotted a grey Nissan Sentra swerving repeatedly over the double yellow line, leading to a traffic stop on Farley Road after making several hazardous turns.

During the stop, the officer reported that the driver, White Plains resident Thastrenky Perez Rigo, 27, had “glassy and bloodshot eyes.” Perez Rigo stated she had several mixed drinks at a bar in White Plains, and when she asked where she was coming from, she replied, “White Plains.” When prompted where she was going to, she responded “White Plains.”

Perez Rigo went on to fail multiple Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, and a breathalyzer determined she had a blood alcohol content of .16 percent, double the legal limit, which was confirmed at Scarsdale Police Headquarters. Perez Rigo was arrested with misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content greater than .08 percent. She has since been released and is due back in Scarsdale Village Court on June 13 to answer the charges.
